Realme GT5 specs and features
The new smartphone boasts an impressive set of features. It all starts with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor under the hood. Realme has also given users the flexibility to adjust the CPU frequency through the system menu.
One interesting feature is what Realme calls “Burning Mode,” which promises sustained high-speed performance when used with an optional clip-on fan. It’s not entirely clear whether this mode requires a specific cooling fan accessory or if it’s compatible with any such product.
On the display front, you’ll find a 144Hz 1.5K OLED screen, measuring 6.74 inches and capable of reaching a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. Additionally, the phone offers ample memory options, with configurations going up to 24GB of RAM and storage capacities of up to 1 TB.
Much like its predecessor, the GT 5 model from Realme features a 4,600mAh battery with blazing-fast 240W wired charging capabilities. While specific charging times for a 0 to 100% charge haven’t been provided for this wattage, Realme assures users that the battery will still retain 80% of its health after 1,600 charging cycles. Notably, a quick 30-second charge can give you two hours of talk time.
If you do not require such rapid charging speeds, Realme also offers an alternative version with 150W wired charging and a larger 5,240mAh battery, capable of reaching a full charge in just 18 minutes.
In terms of design, the Realme GT 5 features a glass back with a black visor. Within the visor, you’ll discover a triple-camera system and a transparent window housing a dummy chipset, similar to its predecessor. What sets it apart are the four RGB lights surrounding the dummy chip, allowing for customization with a choice of 26 different colors.
On the photography front, the Realme GT 5 boasts a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50MP IMX890 sensor. The other two rear sensors include an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there’s a 16MP front camera housed in a center-mounted punch-hole cutout.
This new offering from Realme combines cutting-edge technology with a sleek design, making it a compelling choice for tech enthusiasts and smartphone users alike.
