Track your stolen iPhone using Find My App

If you’ve lost or misplaced a device, here are some of the things you can do. Just use the Find My app on another iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac signed in with the same Apple ID. You can also use the Find My app on a device owned by someone in your Family Sharing group, or sign in to iCloud.com/find to locate your device using a browser. 

  1. Open the Find My app.
  2. Choose the Devices tab.
  3. Select the device to see its location on the map. If you belong to a Family Sharing group, you can see the devices in your group.
  4. Choose Directions to open its location in Maps.

You can also play a sound; Open the Find My app>>>Choose the Devices tab>>>Select your missing device, then choose Play Sound.

Mark your Apple device as lost using Find My app

  1. Open the Find My app and choose the Devices tab.
  2. Select your missing device.
  3. Scroll down to Mark As Lost and select Activate.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps if you want your phone number to display on your missing device, or if you want to enter a custom message asking the finder of your missing device to contact you.
  5. Select Activate.

If your device is offline, it won’t play a sound until it connects to a network.

Recover stolen phone using IMEI Number

Another way of recovering a missing smartphone is through the device’s IMEI number. IMEI is an acronym that stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity.

It is a 15-digit number used for several purposes – one of which is for tracking and recovering stolen smartphones by GSM network providers and authorities to tracking missing and stolen smartphones.

IMEI number of smartphones are usually attached to a new phone box, on the phone in the battery compartment, and on the phone by dialing *#06#. Make sure you properly note the IMEI number of your phone beforehand or this method will be useless to you.

Find your stolen or lost phone using Google

Find My Device is a service by Google which is also effective for phone recovery. Formerly recognized as Android Device Manager (ADM), Find My Device can be used to locate, track, and recover Android devices (smartphone, tablet, smartwatch) — as long as the device is connected to a Google Account, connected to the internet, and is switched on.

You can use Google’s Find My Device service for free through the official website or through a direct “Find My Device” search on Google. With Find My Device, you can locate places where your device has been, erase device data, lock and secure device and also ring your device.
