How to stop all incoming video calls in a Zoom meeting, Latest Zoom features. Ever since the work-from-home culture emerged, Zoom became one of the apps that garnered massive popularity amongst users.

The US-based company added various new features to its platform to make it more robust and a complete video conferencing tool. Now, Zoom has gained another nifty feature to disable incoming video feeds of other participants in a meeting during a call. 

If you need to preserve bandwidth for shared content or want to avoid mental fatigue from viewing multiple, active video participants, you can easily stop all incoming videos. This will only affect your view of the meeting, while others are unaffected and unaware. 

To enable or disable Enable “stop incoming video” feature  for all users in the Zoom account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. Under In-meeting (Advanced), click the Enable “stop incoming video” feature toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in your account, click the lock icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

To enable or disable Enable “stop incoming video” feature for a group of users:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Group Management.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
  4. Click the Meeting tab.
  5. UnderIn-meeting (Advanced), click the Enable “stop incoming video” feature toggle to enable or disable it.
  6. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
  7. (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in the group, click the lock icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

How to stop all incoming video calls in a Zoom meeting for your personal account

To enable or disable Enable “stop incoming video” feature for your own use:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation panel, click Settings.
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. Under In-meeting (Advanced), click the Enable “stop incoming video” feature toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.

How to stop all incoming video calls in a Zoom meeting on desktop clients

To enable or disable Enable “stop incoming video” feature on the desktop clients:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
  3. Select  Video.
  4. Select the check box next to Enable stop incoming video feature to enable or disable it.
