Previously, it has not been possible to pay for Netflix via M-PESA directly. The only available option was a credit/debit card in Kenya, or linking your M-PESA to a PayPal account.

Now, a new partnership between M-PESA and Visa has made the process a lot easier. They have introduced an Mpesa Global Pay option, where you can get your Virtual Card and use it to pay Netflix.

To pay for Netflix using M-PESA, first, you’ll need to activate the M-PESA Global Pay feature. Follow these steps to get it done:

How to pay for Netflix Kenya using USSD code:

  1. Dial *334# on your phone.
  2. Select “Lipa na M-PESA” (Option 6).
  3. Choose “M-PESA GlobalPay” (Option 5).

Make payment using the M-PESA APP:

  • Log in to your M-PESA
  • Select Pay tab
  • Select the GlobalPay and Opt-In.
  • Select your card
  • Enter PIN
  • You will receive an SMS with the card number and expiry date.

How to use M-PESA Global Pay for Netflix


With the M-PESA Global Pay feature enabled, you’re now all set to make payments for your Netflix subscription. Here’s how you can do it:
