If you have an iPhone, you can enable Snapchat permissions as follows:

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Scroll down the page and tap ‘Snapchat.’
  • Tap ‘Notifications.’
  • Tap the ‘Allow Notifications’ toggle if it isn’t already enabled.
  • Change the Notification Delivery to ‘Immediate Delivery.’
  • Make sure the Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners all have checks next to them.

How to enable Snapchat notifications on your Android phone

For Android users. On your smartphone, open the menu and navigate to Settings. Click on Settings and find the App & Notification option. This plane lists all the installed applications on your phone. In most cases, there is a slider in front of each app, allowing you to either turn ON or turn OFF notifications for each app. Find Snapchat and if the slider has been turned OFF, turn it back ON.

Once Snapchat notifications are enabled in your smartphone settings, you’ll need to double-check that your Snapchat settings are also properly configured. Here’s what that process looks like:

  • Open the Snapchat app.
  • Tap your profile icon in the top left corner.
  • Tap the settings icon in the top right.

For iPhone users: On the Menu page, find the Snapchat icon and press and hold it down for a few seconds. A small cancel sign will be displayed on the app’s icon.
